Johnny Nicholas Story Featured on Chicago TV

CHICAGO, December 2001 - The Channel 5 News (NBC) featured a story about "The Search for Johnny Nicholas," a non-fiction novel about a black WWII hero first published in England more than a dozen years ago. The book was written by David Smith and Hugh Wray McCann, a MediaVia adjunct fellow. Appearing with news anchor Art Norman was J. Carl Ganter, MediaVia managing editor. The 3-minute television segment presented sections of Ganter's story about Nicholas that was published on MSNBC.com and showed portions of an national award-winning website that features exclusive information about the young war hero.
